In Croix sur Lorraine, you will be able to visit the de Gaulle’s memorial park and learn more about him. Then, drive to Arromanches and its Port Winston, that continue to remind visitors of the remarkable technical feat of taking 600,000 tonnes of concrete and equipment across the Channel in wartime to build an allies base. Join Colleville Sur Mer and Pointe Du Hoc to visit both the American and German soldiers cemeteries. Pointe Du Hoc is a clifftop location situated between Utah Beach to the west and Omaha Beach to the east. The last stop is in Caen where you can visit the Caen WW1 Memorial and immerse yourself in the heart of the history from 1918 until today.
Located on the beach of Arromanches, La Marine restaurant has the best setting for a degustation of oysters, crayfishes, crabs, whelks and shrimps.
